Art Gallery at City Hall Presents The Art of James Anderson: Vacations and Abstracts

Reception at Fishers City Hall on Friday, August 7th from 6-8p.

This free reception is open to the public. 

Meet James Anderson and enjoy his photography.

Artwork will be available for purchase.

James Anderson combines his photography, love of art, and his view of the world to provide unique cityscapes, landscapes, quiet nature scenes, people, and animals. James is deeply spiritual and this shows in his depictions of Buffalo Creek. This exhibit features just some of the more than 4000 photos James has in his portfolio.

Musical guest, Ryan Lukas, will be performing stand-up bass during the reception. 

     Ryan Lukas is an upright and electric bass player who is versed in a diverse range of musical styles. Though his main instrument is bass he also plays guitar, piano, drums, voice, ukulele, and banjo. After graduating from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY, Ryan began his professional career freelancing and teaching in Albany, NY. He moved to Berkeley, CA in 2007 and upon arriving he began working with an assortment of Bay Area bands and countless jazz and singer songwriter projects.

     His band The Real Nasty was signed in 2009, recorded 3 albums and toured the country and he has toured and/or recorded with The Brian Patneaude Quartet, Sensemaya, Joy Adler, Alex Torres y su Orquestra, The Flux, Albino!, Persephone’s Bees, John William Gordon, American Nomad, The Brothers Comatose, American Nomad, Tumbledown House, Kalil Wislon ,Jenna Mamina, and Dead Winter Carpenters. From Afrobeat to Americana, Bluegrass, Country, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Pop, R&B, Rock and Soul he is at home in any style.

     Currently Ryan teaches music at Super School 19, is a private instructor at Fishers Music Academy and was playing regularly around Indianapolis before quarantine.
