About the Event
Day of the Dead Activities / Día de Muertos Actividades
Fishers Arts Council is offering free activities for the community to learn about and contribute to an "Community Ofrenda" honoring those who have passed on. Participants are encouraged to bring a photo of a friend or loved one (1" x 1") or have one printed at the gallery to create a "mini ofrenda" or build a tissue paper marigold. An additional activity (TBD) will be led by a regional artist. Activities are recommended for ages 5 and up, but younger ones can participate with a family member's help. Live music will be performed by El Mariachi Solo.
Items created will be added to Community Ofrendas, which will be on display from October 20-31, Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm in Fishers City Hall. The Ofrendas will also be available for viewing on Saturday, November 1 from 10am-12pm and will include traditional foods to…
