Fishers Arts Council is proud to present a new juried art show called “A Taste of Art” in conjunction with Fishers Chamber of Commerce’s “Flavor of Fishers” on Saturday, July 31st from Noon to 8 p.m.

Brian Paffen has a zeal for the arts, health and wellness, and green living. With his business, Herbal Arts, he is able to combine all three.

Denise Town is a self-taught floral designer. She also co-owns Gallery 116, an art, gift & home decor store, in downtown Fishers. After graduating from Ball State University with a marketing degree, Denise had a successful sales career before retiring to raise two children. Then she discovered the art of floral arranging.

ANNOUNCING the first annual HsEARTS INC. district wide art show! On March 27th & 28th the Art Department of Hamilton Southeastern Schools will be hosting the first annual art show in the HSE HS cafeteria from 2-5pm. With over 500 pieces of student work, the art department will be showcasing the talents of many young artists. This is an extraordinary event open to the public, so don’t miss out! The Fishers Arts Council has been awarded a $15,000 in-kind grant for public relations work in 2010 from TrendyMinds, Inc., an advertising, promotion, & interactive design firm located in Indianapolis. Through this partnership, the FAC will refine its brand identity, develop a more comprehensive communications plan, and create a membership campaign to increase support for the arts and culture in Fishers. An Unlikely Start to Art

Tyler Frank discovered his passion for metal art from what some would consider to be an unlikely source, his J. Everett Light welding teacher and mentor Lonie Scott.

SYNOPSIS
The play opens with the Kittridges saying simultaneously, “I want a divorce!” Both are conceited and rightly so: Colin is a successful humor columnist and Frances an equally successful romance novelist.

Fishers resident Elizabeth Ahlgrim once thought she was in love with the piano, but after a date with the harp ten years ago… she discovered love at first sight.
