Fishers Arts Council - Supporting the Performing and Visual Arts

It all started with a Christmas present. A shiny new camera from husband to wife. A Digital SLR, to be exact. That’s all it took for Fishers resident Katherine Scheele to become hooked on photography.

Flowers, people and everyday objects come to life when local artist Kerry Ruschhaupt picks up a paintbrush. Torn paper and old photos are also transformed into art with she works in collage. Before starting a new project, Kerry reviews photos she has taken and starts sketching ideas. Then she plays with color.

While Robert Ryan says he’s only focused his energies on his art full-time for the past seven years, he admits he’s worked his entire lifetime trying to emulate the beauty and wonder of the nature that surrounds him. This lifelong Hoosier is a member of the Hoosier Salon, the Fishers Arts Council and the Indianapolis Arts Council and exhibits in Hamilton and the surrounding counties.

Each piece of Cindylu Design’s jewelry is unique. Because Cindy Schum makes everything by hand, no two are the same. Cindy specializes in hand-stamped necklaces and bracelets, name bracelets, photo charm jewelry, and baby and child jewelry, all of which is personalized and made to be a keepsake.
“It all started when my sister wanted to take a jewelry design class for her birthday. After that class, I was hooked!”

If you’ve admired the many stained glass windows in Fishers area schools, chances are Rita Wrighton helped create them. An accomplished stain glass artist, Rita has worked as an Artist in Residence in over 20 Indiana and Wisconsin elementary schools.
