(FISHERS, Ind.) – The Fishers Arts Council will feature a different local artist on its website, www.fishersartscouncil.org, each month in 2010. Local actors, dancers, musicians, painters, writers and other artists are encouraged to apply online.
The Artist of the Month program was launched in August 2009. The 2009 Artists’ of the Month included:
- December: Photographer Katherine Scheele
- November: Painter and Collage Artist Kerry Ruschhaupt
- October: Painter and Colored Pencil Artist Robert Ryan
- September: Jewelry Artist Cindy Schum
- August: Stained Glass Artist Rita Wrighton
The Artist of the Month program is part of the Council’s mission to stimulate participation in the arts and culture of Fishers.
