Artist of the Month (January) – Jack Jordan
Art: Musician

McCordsville native Jack Jordan may only be a senior at Hamilton Southeastern High School but he has been playing music for more than a decade. Although he started with the piano and guitar, he now plays all the instruments when he goes in-studio for his recordings.

“I started playing piano when I was 8-years-old. I picked up the guitar and the whole singing spiel as sort of a side project. It turns out that these two instruments would help me become what can now be considered a ‘musician’.”

The Buzz is Building

Jack is not your typical high-school musician wanna-be. He has already played at numerous venues and events including the Emerson Theater, The Underground and Fishers Freedom Festival. In addition, Jack has been featured on Z99.5’s “Homegrown Buzz” and in Substream Music Press Magazine. He also was the Top Indiana artist on MySpace.com for one month in 2009.

Women are His Inspiration

“100% of my music has been written to or about the girl I am dating at the time or have dated in the past.”

Whenever Jack gets any free time, he is writing or producing music. He writes more than love songs, but all his original material is directed toward the women he’s met in his life.

“My recorded music can be considered pretty conventional. In my spare time, I also like to listen to and play a lot of classical and complete piano pieces that no one in the mainstream arena would particularly recognize offhand.”

Alex, Congratulations! You are so very talented. Haven’t seen you in a while, our piano has been a little lonely lately. Hope you can stop by sometime, hopefully before your graduation. Seeing stars – is lovely.
